Air travel can be tiring, frustrating, and ultimately, unfair. For a few crazy years, comfort animals were all the rage. People brought their dogs on flights, under the guise of providing some sort of ill-defined relaxation, and soon almost every type of animal was accepted. Want to bring your hawk or horse on a plane? Sure, have it! But time and again, the airlines refused to allow Mr. Quills, the World Famous Author's comfort porcupine, onto planes. True to his nature as a comforting presence, Mr. Quills is docile, quiet, tame, and frankly, pusillanimous. That means cowardly.
